Financial Planning & Consulting

Our clients and prospects alike look to us to build their current financial picture, deliver a strategic financial plan and provide unbiased advice on their existing investment portfolio. Our firm uses an innovative set of financial planning and investment research tools to prepare our recommended course of action(s) and, just as importantly, provide our clients access to their plan via our wealth management portal.

We provide financial consulting services that will include a review and analysis of current financial position with the following key outcomes:

  • Prepare current personal balance sheet and net worth statement.
  • Prepare a comprehensive five-year personal cash flow statement.
  • Provide a series of “what if” scenarios based on cash flow in six to ten years with forecasting beyond ten years. Scenarios include selling a house, early retirement, and cashing out options.
  • Prepare a wealth accumulation strategy that reflects anticipated cash flow, tax, or estate planning needs. This includes our recommendation for contributions or allocation for retirement and other investment accounts (whether we manage these accounts or not).
  • Prepare a wealth preservation strategy including evaluating life and health insurance, risk management, and estate plans.
  • Prepare a plan for tax efficient wealth transfer to succeeding generations and charitable organizations.

We ask prospective clients to provide the following current financial documents for review:

  • Your annual income — include pay statements (annual salary and bonus), interest and dividends, gift or trust income, rental income (net of expenses), and other income sources.
  • Your annual savings — retirement plan contributions, other savings programs.
  • Your assets — investment account statements, retirement account statements, stock option grants, pension plans, business ownership/value, real estate value and mortgages, and other asset statements.
  • Your debts — amounts due on credit cards, auto/home/personal loans, margin debt or investment loans, personal business loans, and loans you may have guaranteed.
  • Your tax returns —personal and/or business tax returns from the last two years.
